Thomas R. Farrow, Jr.

The Reverend Thomas Farrow, Jr. currently serves as Senior Pastor of Reeder Memorial Baptist Church. Prior to coming to Charlotte, Rev. Farrow served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church Clinton in Clinton, NC for six years.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University.  In December of 2015, he completed a Master of Divinity Degree from Campbell University. Rev. Farrow is now studying at Campbell University to obtain his Doctorate of Ministry Degree.  He is active in the United Missionary Baptist Association as well as the North Carolina Baptist Convention, where he serves as the Coordinator for the Young Pastors Division of the Ministers Council. Rev. Farrow has been recognized by the Fayetteville Observer as one of the area’s rising leaders under the age of 40.

Commitment to the Gospel

Rev. Farrow has  preached in prisons, nursing homes, and in various denominational traditions throughout North Carolina. He has preached the MLK Commemorative Day Service for Shaw University and has preached multiple times for the students at Campbell University. He has also preached and taught at the General Baptist State Convention of NC’s Annual Session.  Rev. Farrow recently preached at the Historic Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem, NY.

     Commitment to Family

Rev. Farrow is originally from New Bern, NC, where he travels to visit his family often.  He is happily married to Kembrie (Greene) Farrow of Florida, who is a social worker in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System. They have been married for over 8 years. They are proud parents of one daughter and one son.  Their family is heavily involved in the church's youth ministry & outreach ministry, and are often the first to volunteer wherever they can. 

Commitment to community

Rev. Farrow has been recognized by the Fayetteville Observer as one of the area’s rising leaders under the age of 40.  He serves on the Urban League of Central Carolina’s Board of Directors, an organization committed to empowering the community to attain financial stability and social justice through education, training and placement. Each week he volunteers with the Northstar Reading program with CMS to help his 2nd grade buddy enhance his reading skills.
