• About Our Pantry

About 80% of the food given to our clients is purchased from or donated through Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.  This is made possible through the generous donations from our Church Family and friends.  The remainder portion of the proceeds are acquired through well-established Partnerships with various companies, churches, and other organizations, who give graciously, understanding the mission to serve our fellow man.  The Missions Place Community Garden highlights our food distribution with seasonal output of fresh picked fruits and vegetables.

  • How You Can Help

Volunteers are vital to the Food Pantry operation, whether scheduling appointments, tending to the garden, serving clients, helping with those awkward and/or heavy tasks, or filling in where needed.  We have needs during off hours and days of operations, as well.  Community Hours can be credited for school, work, etc.

If you would like to volunteer, please contact Sherry Ashford, Missions Place Food Pantry Coordinator at foodpantry@reederministries.org or 704-802-9548.

*Orientation is required for all volunteers.
