Reeder Kids
Our youth are doing some exciting things at Reeder and in the community. Upcoming rehearsals and events are below, along with info about each group.
*All youth ministry volunteers have completed the Stewards of Children Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training*
Children's Church
Children's Church meets every Sunday (except 4th) in the educational wing of the church. Classes available for Pre-K through 8th Grade. During the 11am service, the children and adults get to hear a preview of the lesson for that morning, and then are dismissed to their classes. For more information, contact Phyllis Cunningham.
TNT: Kids!
TNT: Kids! offers youth ages 3-16 a healthy and hot meal, time and assistance with homework, and a brief Christian living lesson. Our teachers engage students with movie clips, hands on crafts, outdoors activities, and other interactive teaching methods to make TNT: Kids! a fun and unique experience.
Reeder Ballerina Babes
Ages 3-12 can participate in worship services through choreographed ballet. Rehearsals are held during children's church and periodically throughout the month. To sign up your child or for more information, please contact Nia Rankin.
Word By Mime
“Word by Mime” is a group of gifted young adults and teens who interpret gospel music using gestures, expressions, and movement to project the spiritual message. “Word by Mime” is sometimes accompanied by liturgical dancers who also utilize their gifts to glorify God through silent praise. The rehearsal schedule for this ministry varies from month to month.
Youth Choir
The Youth Choir is a fun way for our young people to participate in worship services. Songs are specifically chosen to engage youth and teach lessons they can hold onto for life. Our youth also provide the live music for their choir. Click the image to see a video! For rehearsal dates or more information, please contact Veronica Rankin.
Teen Time
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday, teens ages 13-18 meet with Min. Rudy Burris and Min. Tara Gibbs to discuss issues relevant to faith and their lives. We discuss media clips, pray for one another, plan fellowship activities, share scholarship information, and will begin college tours in Spring 2019. For more information, please contact Min. Rudy Burris.
Rites of Passage
This program is designed to provide age-appropriate information to adolescent girls (7-14 years old) on a variety of topics relevant to becoming a successful young woman. Topics include but are not limited to, education & career planning, etiquette, puberty, community service, and personal safety. For more information or to sign up your child, please contact Kembrie Farrow.
